We started in Barcelona and are growing our pack across Spain with experienced, trained, and insured Woofers who care for dogs like family, always with clear communication and a travel-savvy plan.

A quick note before we begin: Wander Woofs didn’t start as a business idea. It started as a real travel problem… and a tiny Yorkie who changed everything.
Meet Vick & Chilli, the story behind Wander Woofs
Hi, I’m Vick Fichtner, founder of Wander Woofs, and forever human to Chilli the Yorkie.
Let me tell you one thing: Chilli wasn’t just my dog. He was my sidekick, my co-pilot, and my travel companion for years.
Together, we moved across the ocean, crossed borders and time zones, and explored the world.
When travel isn’t dog-friendly (and you won’t leave them behind)
But for every place we were welcomed, there were just as many doors that closed on us.
Museums, restaurants, historic sites… Chilli wasn’t allowed in, and I wasn’t willing to leave him behind.
That bittersweet reality of having to choose between the wonders of travel and the dog I loved was the seed that grew into Wander Woofs.
From travel expert to easier pet-friendly travel in Spain
Beyond being a lifelong dog lover, I’m also a travel expert, photographer, and the founder of Experience Wanderlust, a boutique travel company creating high-end, meaningful, and of course, pet-friendly experiences across Europe.
I’ve spent years helping travelers connect with culture and beauty, and now, through Wander Woofs, I help them do it without having to leave their best friend behind.
Chilli’s legacy: the original Wander Woofer
Chilli has since crossed the rainbow bridge, but he will forever be remembered, loved, and honored as the official mascot of Wander Woofs.
He took a piece of my heart with him and left behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and unforgettable adventures.
A legacy that my team and I are proud to carry forward, by making pet-friendly travel in Spain easier, safer, and more joyful for others.
